We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Developer to join our team onsite in Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database development, performance tuning, and handling large-scale data systems. This role involves working closely with application and data teams to build efficient, scalable, and reliable database solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and schemas
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Perform query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Manage database migrations, upgrades, and data integrity processes
• Work with large datasets and ensure high availability and scalability
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to support application requirements
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Required Skills:
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL database development and administration
• Expertise in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming
• Hands-on experience with query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience with indexing strategies, partitioning, and large datasets
• Knowledge of database design, normalization, and data modeling
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
