Hi everyone,

I have been trying to clean out my shadehouse. Too much to do, so
little time, especially with 2 little ones - it is almost impossible!!
Anyway, I found this thing in a pot. Not sure what it is, can't
remember whether it is from a seed I germinated or just plain weed
(the tag disappeared during the last move). I tried to look at my list
of seeds and plants, and googled them and no luck. Scott reckoned it
was too nice to be a weed, but then.... I have seen nice weed. I need
more room, so I am cleaning out and giving away some of my tree
seedling... so I can put more in, like broms.

This is my first attempt at photobucket, so we shall see whether it
works. Thank you for looking.

If I am looking at the right plant, it almost reminds me of my ylang ylang.

Hi Brenda,

It is not ylang ylang. I have some of those too. This one droops and
the leaves are quite large (about 7cm across, I guess). I still think
it is a weed, but before I chuck it out I just want to make sure.

Regards, Ari :)

Your picture is fine Ari but not familiar to me - maybe something self
seeding in your area. Just forward a note to Mike Ferrero to check it
out. He will probably know whether you plant is worth holding onto
since he hails from Cairns.

Dear Ariscott! The photo you have of your mystery tree sapling is
certainly Leguminosae and appears to me to be either Accrocarpus
fraxinifolius (Himalayan Cedar) or that Fairchilld's Folly tree,
Phyllocarpus septentrionalis! Any other takers out there? Cheers MDF

Mike, Are you looking at the plant in the foreground or background?
The large, alternate, simple leafed thing in the foreground surely is
not a legume..

The plant in question is the one in the foreground. I guess it doesn't
hurt to keep it anyway and see what it turns out.

Thank you.

Regards, Ari :)

Not Acrocarpus or Pyhllocarpus, both of which I grow.
