Hi all,
I saw your application www.webical.org and its cool but pretty primitive where it stands now.
What I am and was looking for a free/GPL calendaring software/service .
I saw the new yahoo calendar its cool, its not GPL so not on my radar.
I searched wikipedia and chanced on your wiki page.
Saw the demo and its cool as well.
I also tried to see the people behind it but the site seems to be german/European.
So hope you guys get us to version 1.0 as soon as possible.
I'm sure lot of guys like me would like to have a good-workable calendar.

Nice to hear you liked our little project. Atm we're a bit shorthanded and in dire need of some new fresh initiative. This doesn't mean we're not still planning new development, but it might take a little wile. Please check in once in a while to check the progress. If you have any suggestions or want to contribute in other ways please let us know.

There are actually couple of things which could perhaps do some trick in getting some traction on the project.
a. Is your project mature enough that I can put a packaging request to debian (wnpp)
b. Have you listed the requirements to run webical as a server/client thing somewhere where its easily foundable (link please)
c. A changelog of each new version.
If it does get into any of the distributions, then there is possibility of lot more people being interested in the same.
Another thing would be if you are able to talk/share your work with the wordpress guys. If some kinda deal or something could be worked out between you guys it would also be cool for guys like me (who use wordpress)
