Hi, just got webical installed but I can't configure it. I point my
browser at localhost:8080/webical and get the configuration page as I
should but I can get no further.

What does it want in the 'Encryption key' box? Whatever I put in there
(including leaving it blank) I get the error 'Field 'passphraseField'
is required' and a red box around that field.

Please help :)

Hi,

The encryption key is used to encrypt user's passwords in the database
with a two-way algorithm. This is done so that passwords are not stored
as clear-text in the database, but still can be converted back to clear
text for use in authenticating with a backend (webdav/caldav/whatever).
For a first time install you can enter anything here and webical will
use this from then on. If you are migrating to a new version you must
use the sane encryption key as the previous install.

I can't say why it isn't accepting your input though. You're not getting
any stacktraces or any other information?

Regards,
Ivo

Thanks for the reply I managed to get it sorted. Think I might have
forgotten what I entered first time (not being sure what it was used
for).

If I did need too change the encryption key or reset all the settings
etc. what would I delete?

Thanks
