Join our next WebGL + WebGPU Meetup   Tuesday July 23, 2024 at 9a.m. PDT  (-7 UTC) This session will include the latest updates on WebGL and WebGPU developments, plus a demonstration of 3D Gaussian Splatting in PlayCanvas, bone animations using WebGL2 shaders and HDR textures. Agenda: WebGL Update - Receive all the latest updates from Ken Russel (Google and Khronos WebGL Working Group Chair).   WebGPU Update - An update on the state of WebGPU standardization and the WebGPU ecosystem from Kelsey Gilbert (Mozilla and chair of the W3C GPU for the Web Working Group).   3D Gaussian Splatting - 3D Gaussian Splatting is a relatively new technique for capturing and rendering photorealistic volumetric point clouds. Since the technique relies on photogrammetry, it is very quick, cheap and easy to generate high-quality rendered scenes. In this talk Will Eastcott (CEO and Co-Founder of PlayCanvas) will provide an overview and demonstrate the latest tools and techniques for creating, editing and viewing splats.   Mixing Bone Animations Using WebGL2 - Ivan Popelyshev from tesera.io will demonstrate mixing bone animations using WebGL2 shaders and more.   Working With HDR Textures - Binomial have been working on HDR texture and in this presentation Stephanie Hurlburt (co-founder of Binomial) will provide some insights into current developments and will share preliminary benchmarks and statistics for community feedback.   Speakers
