Hi all,
I recently tried running an over-representation analysis using Webgestalt with a function that previously worked fine with another set of data - but now I receive the following error message:

"Loading the functional categories...
Organism is missing.
ERROR : Organism is missing."

This is despite the organism ("hsapiens") being defined in the function. I've asked among other members of our lab and it seems others have been running into similar issues recently and have been having problems accessing the server. Has anyone else been having issues with this/know of a fix? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Michael Deans

Hi Michael,

Could you try to update the package? Or change the hostName parameter to https://www.webgestalt.org.

Yuxing, thank you for the quick response!
Changing the hostname parameter didn't work but updating to the newest version (from 0.4.4 to 0.4.6) did work. I was having issues updating the package due to a previous change in macOS breaking the install.packages function but installing the command line tools as described here: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/254380/why-am-i-getting-an-invalid-active-developer-path-when-attempting-to-use-git-a fixed this and the updated package worked!

Thank you

Michael
