Hello,

I am trying to run an ORA using ensembl peptide ids, that are recognized by the program, and D.rerio as my organism of interest. I keep running into an r error that is not specified by the website. At first I thought it was because my inputs were too large, but when I reran it with older data that ran previously, I got the same error.

Thank you,
Kimberly Louisor

Hi,

I tried again with the same files today in the online version and now it's telling me it doesn't recognize the ids, even though yesterday it correctly recognized them.

Hello Kimberly,

Could you share  the IDs that are causing the issue? I tested with a list of 50 random ensembl peptide IDs and I am not seeing an error with ORA, so I believe it may be ID list specific. Additionally, if you would like, you can still manually select the ID type if the detection system could not determine the type. The system takes a random sample of the IDs for detection purposes, which may result in inconsistent results for certain ID lists. More than 95% of ID lists we tested were consistent, but small or more generic ID types can cause this issue.

Best,
John

Hi I've sent you emails containing my inputs on the private messages, also your gmail. They're not showing up on my end, so I was wondering if you saw them. Sorry for all the emails, if you did.

Hi

I am just wondering if you have figured out any issues with my files. They all seem to have the same id type. I am still not sure why I keep getting an error.

Hello,

I did some testing and the major problem I saw was the file size is too large because there are a lot of IDs in both the input list and reference lists. We have a size limit on the website which is stopping the analysis from running. If I made the ID list smaller, the analysis runs without any problems. We will improve the error message on the website to make this clearer.

You can still use WebGestalt, but you would have to run the R package yourself. The installation and usage instructions can be found here: https://bzhanglab.github.io/WebGestaltR/.

Best,
John

Thank you! I'll try that.
