Registrations are picking up with the current media attention the
community is receiving, but it would be great to get more people
listed.
I'm obviously convinced by the concept, but not everyone will be.
Please tell me if you know of any reasons why someone wouldn't sign up
and I'll use it on the website.
Thanks.

Not everyone wants to work for revenue and/or equity share...

The rules on how members are engaged are not set in concrete, so if
you're interested in participating in a project but can't afford to
work without an income then let the originator know. You may be able
to negotiate a deal based on part cash, part equity/revenue share.

I also think it's a case that not everyone has been given the right
opportunity to work on this basis. The right project with the right
prospects would probably convince many people to give it a go, at
least.

Ultimately, no-one is obligated to take on any role, but, as the
saying goes "you've got to be in it, to win it". If you're not
registered, you may miss a golden opportunity. Throw your hat in the
ring and see what happens.

Paul, it's a great idea. Not everyone will be convinced by the
concept, but who cares?! I think the concept will resonate with more
than enough people to sustaine and grow it. Focus on these people,
rather than trying to make a site that suits 'everyone' and in the
process watering down the concept.

> Not everyone wants to work for revenue and/or equity share...

Everyone who doesn't can already join elance, rentacoder or the many
other sites devoted to them. I think webequity is for everyone who
DOES want to work for revenue and/or equity, and I'm glad it exists,
because not everyone wants to work for cash! :-)
