Selenium automates browsers. That's it. What you do with that power is entirely up to you. Primarily it is for automating web applications for testing purposes, but is certainly not limited to just that. Boring web-based administration tasks can (and should!) also be automated as well.

You can use Appium to automate a phonegap application. I think this is an example : https://github.com/appium/appium/blob/master/sample-code/examples/java/testng/src/test/java/com/saucelabs/appium/AndroidWebViewTest.java

That said, you can use some WebDriver tools to automate things other than browsers.

http://appium.io lets you automate apps on your mobile devices.

I am able to run test in Android but,how can i automate in windows phone(Nokia lumia521).Is it possible or not.
