The Selenium team has released 2.53.1 of the Java and .NET language bindings, and of the the standalone server. This release is specifically to allow successful use of the legacy (non-Marionette) Firefox driver with Firefox 47.0.1. The release is available at http://selenium-release.storage.googleapis.com/index.html.
The .NET bindings are also available via NuGet.

It is a known issue that the Java release has not yet been propagated to Maven Central. It will be soon. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

It is a known issue that the links on seleniumhq.org do not yet point to the .1 release. We will update those soon.

Please note that there is no version of the Selenium legacy (non-Marionette) Firefox driver that will work with Firefox 47.0.0. Also, no Selenium legacy (non-Marionette) Firefox driver version other than 2.53.1 will work successfully with Firefox 47.0.1.

Thank you for the update.  I've updated Firefox to 47.0.1 and updated Webdriver and Webdriver.Support through NuGet, but now my scripts are timing out when attempting to connect to local host.  Is there anything else I should be updating?

I see that the 2.53.1 dropped onto Maven Repository today. Working fine for me with FF 47.0.1.

Thanks!!
