Flix Problems

I just bought Flix as well as a new webcam and the webcam works
great...however, whenever i try to make a film on flix the only thing
that comes up is a black box....the light on the camera turns on but
it is not capturing anything...i tried everything available in the FAQ
section except for the codec part..but im not sure if thats the
problem because it won't even capture anything...i am using vista on
my dell laptop....please help!

Sorry to hear you're having problems with Flix. Was this happening
while you were trialling the software? It should work fine
with Vista. I would temporarily disable any other imaging devices you
may have on the computer and also try incrementing the CAM_REF value
in the registry as discussed in

I realise that this is a bit of a hassle but worth a shot.

yeah, i already tried the CAM_REF stuff and it seems to work with 0
because my camera lights up, but when the box comes up when started,
there is no picture, just a big black screen....i already tried
everyting on the FAQ page but nothing seems to work. and yes this was
happening while i had the trial software, but i thought the reason was
because it was the trial version.

I suspect this is either driver or Vista related. Might testing on
another PC be an option to help narrow down the root problem? Changing
the RESOLUTION_REF in the registry settings
