how to install to hard drive?

i am currently using unetbootin to burn the webc-5.5.iso to a usb
thumb drive. if seem to work, but in the installation fails to
partition the hard drive so i can't install it to the hard drive.
this is a major problem for me and would like some help.
if you could, please help me, i would be very thankful.

Why don´t you use the webc-5.5.img to "install" the usb thumb drive?

I need also to run it from the HDD drive because of other reasons.
There is a need to run it from the harddrive because ... in my case I runn webc on modest hardware PIII 900MHz 256 RAM witch cannot boot from usb(old stuff). 

Now I use the cd-rom but it spins the cd like crazy(256 memory is not much) and many time the system stops responding waiting from the cdrom.

For me 256 MB RAM didn´t work at all.
When a website is called which has an live-ticker webconverger simply
stops.
Upgraded the RAM to 512 MB solved this problem.

Ever tried to install webconverger to the HDD in a different PC from
CD-Rom?
