Hi,

First, please confirm you have installed the extra PHP modules: http://code.google.com/p/webanywhere/wiki/Installation#Installing_PHP
Currently, it's not convenient to setup TTS server on Windows. But you can ignore this step and use ours' for testing.

Jeff,
Do you think we should release a new version? We haven't do that for 2 years. If so, I will go through the installation process step by step and fix issues, then update the wiki and release a new one.

Hi,
We are group of 3 students and we are trying the source code of webAnywhere.
We are trying to follow the instiallation process specified in the webanywhere/wiki. But, we are not clear enough at certain points like some steps are intended for linux system. We have a windows machine and could you please provide any step by step installation process for windows machine. We are trying to run the code using WAMP server.

And we also downloaded the the wa zip folder from the downloads. We are even trying to run that but we are seeing some errors in the webanywhere browser frame like

" Notice: Use of undefined constant embed - assumed 'embed' in /Users/avinash/web/wa/browser.php on line 20

Notice: Undefined index: embed in /Users/avinash/web/wa/browser.php on line 20

Can you please help us out on the above mentioned issues.

Thank You,
Akaash.

Hi Cameron,

Yes, we should definitely release a new version (or just delete the .zip file).

Generally, I've been advising new users to check out the most recent version from SVN.

What do you think?  My concern with making a new zip file is that it might also quickly go out of date...

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the reply. I think our activity on WA is not very high. It should not be out of date very quickly. And we need a stable and easy-to-install version. I will try to install WA with latest code in a clean environment later. A new version and install guide will be released. Thanks!
