Job description:
· We are currently seeking a Software Verification Engineer (Manual) who will be responsible for testing software for highly complex medical devices for Electrophysiology Product Testing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develop Tests for Medical Device applications by creating Test Design/Analysis and Test Implementation/Procedure for the verification of Software Requirements.
· Read, analyze, understand Oroduct Requirements. Take the high level/Detailed Requirements and independently complete Test Development per the defined processes.
· Establish and maintain Traceability from Software Requirements to Verification Test Designs.
· Perform Test Execution on Test Environment involving Emulators/Real hardware-Equiments setup.
· Apply experience writing Test Scenarios and Test cases for Class II Medical Device.
· Work closely with Developers and Systems Requirement Teams to understand the specifics of the Application.
· Perform Verification and Validation testing in an FDA regulated environment.
· Identify valid Clinical workflows for effectively Testing the software.
· Identify and Report Software or clinical workflow issues in JIRA.
· Ensure software validation procedures and guidelines are followed in Test Development.
· Quality focus, willingness to learn, versatility and adaptability.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Education and Experience:
· BS in relevant Engineering discipline (Biomedical (preferred), Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering) plus at least 1-3 years of Software Testing QA experience.
· Candidate must be able to perform system level Manual Testing.
· Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
o FDA software validation guidelines;
o Handled complex Medical Device software platform;
o Experience working with Medical Device Product Development and Product Testing;
· Strong written and verbal communication.
Desired/Preferred Technical Qualifications:
· Familiarity and understanding of one or more of the following tools: Test Repository Tools, GUI Realtime applications, JIRA, Perforce.
· Familiarity and understanding of multi-platform technologies (SQL, XML).
· Experience working with Test Automation Framework especially scripting languages - Python, Squish.
· Familiar with Designing, Developing, and Executing software Automation Test Scripts.
· Proficiency in Linux/Unix environment.
· Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall software development methods.
· Experience developing Exploratory tests.
