So with Abraham gone did MadGTUG die before it got off the ground?

MadLUG will probably eventually have something on ChromeOS and
Android, but we don't have anything specific in the works. Our
networking presentation on the 6th meeting might have some stuff about
Google DNS, but I can't speak to that since I'm not giving the
presentation.

I guess my point is, this list can be used for Google related
announcements for people that aren't necessarily on the Web608 list.

based on the voting, i'd say there was definitely interest in this group
getting together. i'm still interested in seeing something happen.

maybe we should just get together for drinks, find out what people are
working on, and see if there is enough interest to move forward.

thoughts?

I think a lot of us are tapped out on the amount of meetings we can
attend. Perhaps we should just talk about it at the next Web608
get-together?

If anyone is interested in taking up organizing MadGTUG I can get you in touch with the manager for Google's Madison office. He is interested in holding the meetings onsite. Maybe a co-branded Web608/MadGTUG group could hold regular meeting there.

A related topic: at the February Madison Perl Mongers meeting, we'll
be discussing Google Wave among other things.

The group is very welcoming to newcomers, including Perl novices.
