Hi, Everyone,

We love having community representation at the Social Good Summit. As much as it is part of ForwardFest— Madison's technology and entrepreneurship festival, we consider the Social Good Summit a bridge between entrepreneurs and community. Our entrepreneurs are creating social enterprises, tackling community-based needs and issues.

So read through, if you want to come and can afford the ticket, just grab one. If you want to come and need a scholarship, just email me. I have a few of them to dispense.

Social Good Summit

THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 2019, at 9 AM
Madison Public Library (Central)
Soul Ground, Mary's House, and EOTO— three social ventures

Attend the Social Good Summit next week— Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Madison Public Library (Central). The Summit is the kick-off event for ForwardFest— Madison's premiere technology and entrepreneurship festival— and the showcase event for social entrepreneurs who have gone through the Social Good Accelerator (SGA).

The Accelerator addresses economic disparities by promoting entrepreneurshipto disenfranchised communities. Our program looks for, develops, and accelerates social enterprises that solve community issues regardless if they are for-profit, non-profit, and or cooperatives. We work on a readiness model and have projects that range from 0-5 years in age.

The Social Good Summit is a showcase event for introducing the new businesses participating in our Accelerator, and the founders who have created them. The Summit is a combination pitching event, exhibit, and working session to accelerate social good further.

How the Summit Works?

Do good in the room— is the motto of the Summit. Each year we gather an audience of 125-150 participants to meet, greet, and extend their expertise to the Accelerator participants. You'll get to propel these projects further, by providing your expertise in the room. You have no further commitment to them unless you want to.

The projects can benefit from a wide array of skills and expertise— from marketing and communications to business analysts. In prior years, the called upon skills included knowledge of the health care and or mental health industry, billing practices, advertising, website development, graphic design, law and legal structures, traditional media, social media, business analysts, leasing, writers, social connectors, data research, and so much more.

Yes, we are putting you to work, but by the end of the day, you can state, 'I helped 'this venture' move forward, and they're going to do great things for the Madison region. You get to make a difference, just by being attending. So be in the room where it happens!
