The Madison Nonprofit Day Conference is looking for individuals with some general technical skills and or social media skills to volunteer for the conference. Each conference, we host a social media / tech room, where people can go to recharge their phones and laptops, find a quiet space to work, or ask the kind and generous volunteers in the room random technology questions:
How do I post this photo I took to Facebook?
How do I record things on this phone?
I heard about this Facebook Live thing how does it work?
Can I change my background screen?
Some of the questions get tougher than that, but most are general use questions, though they tend to be general use questions related to specific tools— Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, top the list. But I'm certain SnapChat, Pokemon Go, and others will find their way as well. We just need friendly, patient, tech savvy folks, willing to help others out. The shift are 2-hours each, then you can attend the rest of the conference or go back to work.
