We found jQuery-Mask-Plugin :

It may be useful for validating input at form level before web2py validator trigger... So less round trip between server and client...

aside from the ubiquitous idea of supporting something that is not developed by us, what web2py validators should match this ? there's no "mask" validator in web2py, except for "adaptations" of IS_REGEX().
Moreover, this doesn't validate input at all, it just "formats" the input.

tl;dr : not a good candidate.
