start/stop an app

Is the way to start and stop an app this? Go to the appadmin "site" page, and use the "disable"/"enable" toggle button?

An app isn't really always running. It runs when a request is made, so it's always stopped when not in use.

But the "disable" button keeps it from running when an request is made?

the disable button prevents anyone from accessing the app.
