How can i Customize the verify email & reset password flash messages?

Hi guys, I was wondering if there is a way to customize the verify email & reset password flash messages in my app, the default ones don't say much, i feel new clients wont know what to do after registering with the site. With the email verification the "Email Sent" message doesn't even show!
