The upload files feature in the DAL encodes the original name in base64 and adds that to the unique portion of the filename on the server. Bad news if you want to download one of those files and the base64 '=' character appears in the filename., because the browser thinks you doing an illegal url.

This may also apply to upload/download in py4web, depending on the base64 setup there.
