Route a user's multiple file upload to the controller for storage

update: ...currently attempting a functionality transfer of the upload app and will revise to post questions regarding any issues. The generic quality of the question was in part due to time and juggling elsewhere

Could someone provide an example of a mechanism for a user to upload multiple files where the files are transferred to the controller? Note that the page must not refresh upon submission.
