Want to get version control right for this one. It will be just one item in the /applications directory, the /applications/init project. Some questions.
  • Is there any reason to backup more than just /applications/init? I assume it is best simply to note the version of /web2py I'm using and back it up separately, correct (in case of the catastrophe that https://github.com/web2py/web2py/releases becames unavailable)
  • Is this a good .gitignore assuming I only need to back up /applications/init?
# .gitignore
sessions/*
errors/*
*.pyc
*.pyo

*.1
*.bak
*.bak2
*.svn
*.w2p
*.class
*.rej
*.orig
Thumbs.db
.DS_Store
.pythonhistory

logging.conf
.idea/*
