How to call other (and retrieve data/dictionnary ... ) web2py applications from within a web2py application

Hello,

there is an item on this subject however the links do not work anymore. Is there a simple, functional recipe to this question.
Thank you in advance
PS: I've looked in the book and I can't find a clear answer.
