Hi There!

My name is Enrique and I work for Terminal.com, a cloud computing provider.

We were playing a little bit with web2py and we think it's a really good product, so we decided create a new snapshot with web2py and add it to our app store.
In short, that means that you can start our own fully-functional web2py cloud instance in less than 30 seconds and you can try it for free!

This is the link to the web2py snap: https://www.terminal.com/tiny/WELxJg3288

For any comments or suggestions feel free to contact me.

Sign up on https://www.terminal.com to create user account (username).
Use link https://www.terminal.com/tiny/WELxJg3288 to prepare web2py installation.

Terminal is accessible at https://username1.terminal.com

In terminal, from my home directory I enter
cd web2py
python web2py.py -i 0.0.0.0 -p 80
to start web2py server.

Looks that the port 80 is allowed by default. To use a different one you need go to https://www.terminal.com/terminals, select web2py terminal, click Security and add the port.

I just gave terminal.com a spin and for all whims and purposes it worked as described until I tried accessing the admin page and I got this error:

"Admin is disabled because insecure channel"

This is the link I accessed "http://[my username]-8000.terminal.com/admin/default/index"

Kindly check whats happening.

[UPDATE] You actually have to manually append "https://" to the link. It gets striped off in Google Chrome Version 35.0.1916.114

checking isn't needed. if you want to access admin is either through https or http on localhost.

Yes, just make sure to access the admin section on https.

Postgres: Yes, there is almost all.
But I think you can install what you want, not only use predefined installations (snaps).
Example: apt-get -y install lighttpd
Btw current web2py snap run with Rocket 1.2.6.
If somebody will make (or describe) snap with Lighttpd or Nginx, it would be great.
Or Rocket is enough?
