http://code.google.com/p/web2py/issues/detail?id=1298Why the Wiki class should not add a per-page "render" value?
The benefits I can think of:
- Knowing beforehand the type of data for proper output (at least the render type recorded).
- (maybe) useful in page query filters
- Gives the user the option to choose a syntax when editing (I guess this is not allowed currently)
Cons:
- Can lead to processing errors due to content/syntax mismatch (what if a user writes html and sets markmin)
- Adds the need for more code/logic for controlling and setting render options/defaults properly (forcing a syntax programatically makes everything simpler)
