When I returned to iGoogle, they were all gone. I tried rebooting,
changing display options, reloading - nothing. Don't even have the
add and tidy links. I can still minimize/maximize, and change
parameters.
No error messages. Tried dragging to another tab, nothing. I mean,
the fdragging worked, but the module still is empty and linkless...
Using IE6, XP Pro.
PS - your link to this group is broken - had to do some messing around
to get here.
Thanks for getting in touch. ARGH!! That's really bad news mate!
First off, well done for providing as much info as possible. Try tho I
might however, I cannot replicate this. It's hard to imagine how this
could happen but certainly not having the add and tidy buttons
indicates a jscript error. Tell me, did you add any other gadgets to
the page / tab in between times?
If you have any control over it, I would strongly recommend Firefox
for running this gadget. I have tried to support IE as much as
possible but recent Google changes to the homepage have caused
problems for IE users of this gadget.
If you add a brand new instance of the gadget to a new tab, do you
still fail to see the add / tidy links? If you do, put the gadget into
verbose debug mode (via the settings) and copy and paste the debug
ouput to this group and I'll take a look. I'll try to get this nailed
for you!
Thanks for the broken link tip - I assume you mean the link from
Google Code? If so, now fixed.
Hope some of this helps you.
No new google gadgets. This COULD be an iGoogle thing - my page went
berserk a few weeks ago - in IE only, worked fine at home - and
resolved itself 2 days later.
Good idea about the second copy on another tab - I'll try that. With
verbose debug.
No IE errors, BTW - I have it set up to put up an error box when there
are.
Best,
Jay
But still the same story at work today. I put a second copy on
another tab - same misbehavior. No workee.
I'll try editing the one at home tonight, see if that causes the app
to right itself.
