Feature suggestion: forced save

It appears that Stickies are not saved right away and so if you modify
a sticky and browse of you home page right away, you're likely to lose
that update. it happened to me a few times and this can easily be
reproduced.

There are two possible solutions I can think of:
1. Have a little save button that will save the current state of
stickies.. or
2. Have a little status indicator somewhere showing whether the most
recent update is saved or not.. say a little red dot that goes green
when everything is saved and it ok to leave the page
