Working on xplatform

I just tried running the todo-backend-fsharp app on a Mac in Xamarin Studio. Things apparently work quite differently. I don't really understand all the issues but have found several issues related to locating the F# targets that appear to be happening to me. I resolved those in a not-so-nice way, and now I'm getting an even stranger exception trying to launch the web app.

We clearly have a lot of work in this area. So much for, "it should just work." Dave, do you have any time to look at this with me?

Sure, best thing to do is create a github project and add issues with an xplat or mono label.  We can then log and investigate behaviour/issues etc.
