Web Safety can't block SuperCell traffic on iDevices?

I purchased a year subscription to control which websites my kids have access to and manage the time they spend on their iPads.

I added my kids device IP addresses to the "strict" policy and created a schedule.

I also added their device IPs to the "lock" policy so when they're on their device outside of the "strict" policy schedule, all internet traffic is blocked.

After testing the configuration it works, except for SuperCell games (Clash Royale, Boom Beach, and Clash of Clans).

I checked the "monitoring" tab and it reports the "service.supercell.net" URL is blocked - but the game is still playable.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve

May it be the connection is done directly bypassing the proxy altogether?
In this case you need to allow outgoing connections from your proxy only and block
everything else at your firewal.

Hi Rafael,

Apparently the game connects to "service.supercell.net" on port 80 (which is blocked) but also uses TCP port 9339 to play the game. I created some firewalls rules on a schedule as well, hopefully this resolves the issue.

Thanks for your time!

Steve
