I'm guilty of not installing mod_pagespeed yet, but the best I can do to community is to learn it and be able to explain it to my Meetup members and to help developers pushing it through.

As for automated testing, Pat Meenan released EC2 test nodes for WebPageTest.org:

I was thinking about creating one for ShowSlow monitors (YSlow / PageSpeed / HAR), but didn't have time to implement any.

That's to be expected.

I'd never install something like that on production right out the
gate. Let others experiment, find and fix the issues...then when it's
stable...
