Here is the latest World English Bible status:

Genesis through Ruth, Esther through Isaiah, Hosea through Malachi, and the New Testament are essentially done.

1 Samuel through Nehemiah are in draft form, needing some more manual editing.

Jeremiah through Daniel need manual editing and quotation mark work. (Apparently, quotation marks were not in common usage in English in 1901, but they are mostly required, now, in English.)

The World English Bible companion Apocrypha is in the early stages of a restart for improved quality, except for Psalm 151, which is essentially done.

3 & 4 Maccabees and the portions of Esther (Greek) which are also in the Hebrew Esther will be based on the LXX2012 Septuagint in English, which is based on the Brenton English translation of the Septuagint. The rest of the World English Bible companion Apocrypha will be based on the Revised Version of 1895 (RV). Right now, 1 & 2 Maccabees in the RV are being typed into the proper format for conversion, so LXX2012 versions are holding their place. The WEB Apocrypha currently reflects the 12-decade-old English with some of the more obvious spelling changes made. Unfortunately, modern English lost the distinction between singular and plural "you", except in some dialects (you vs. y'all, ye-uns). So, for now, the plural "you" is indicated in the Apocrypha as "you^".

There is still a huge backlog of email comments on the World English Bible to sort through. A portion of those have valid comments pertaining to typos to correct or wording that is better for accuracy and understanding in modern English, so we aren't saying that the "essentially done" sections of the World English Bible are totally frozen, yet, but they are getting close. It is highly likely that comments about sections that haven't yet been manually edited are things that we already know, so we actually prefer getting comments about the sections that we claim are "essentially done", unless they suggest radical changes in existing translation philosophy or are based on personal preferences and pet doctrines (or heresies) instead of sound translation.

Although the current distribution of the master copy of the World English Bible, World English Bible: Messianic Edition, and World English Bible British Edition is limited to 3 formats (HTML, USFM, and USFX), we plan to increase the number of formats in the future.
