World English Bible status: 1 Kings essentially done.

Good news:

• 1 Kings is essentially done. As is true with the whole World English Bible, typo reports will still be evaluated, and if appropriate, acted on. 2 Kings is the major focus, now.
• The whole text of the Apocrypha is at least in 1st draft status, now. This includes Deuterocanon/Apocrypha books in the Roman Catholic Canon, Orthodox, and a few additional books used by some other Christian denominations.
• Some Bibles have the books of Esther and Daniel translated from the Greek Septuagint as well as those same books translated from the original Hebrew. A translation of those books, and the rest of those books into English are available in the Public Domain LXX2012.
• The World English Bible British Edition now not only has British spellings, it has British numbers, like "one hundred and fifty three" instead of "one hundred fifty three".
• The World English Bible: Messianic Edition HTML text how has the Old Covenant in the traditional Hebrew canonical order.
• There is a World English Bible British Messianic Edition for our Messianic Jewish brothers in English-speaking countries other than the U. S. A.
• Scripture availability is increasing in hundreds of languages. Praise God!

Other news:

• We still haven't rebuilt the automatic daily Scripture reading broadcast software. If we do, it will be on the Google groups mailing lists at http://groups.google.com/group/worldenglishbible and http://groups.google.com/group/web-me only, and not on the Bible and HNV mailing lists at eBible.org. Please forgive any inconvenience this might cause.
