Job Description
Candidate(s) will be interviewed and selected to serve as Programmer Analysts - ETL Development responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, development, testing and implementation of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) processes into and from multiple databases including a Data Warehouse and multiple Data Marts being planned at the Department and will report to the Project Manager. FLDOE is seeking Programmer Analysts - ETL Development at intermediate to advanced levels with the following minimum qualifications (must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks).
Minimum Qualifications
Academic
Bachelor‘s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience
General Experience: 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering, analysis, design, development and testing of Extract Transform and Load processes
Relevant experience:
Experience in a data warehouse environment preferred
Using an ETL tool such as IBM Datastage, SAS Enterprise Data Integration Server, etc.
Databases:
Extensive knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS),
Extensive knowledge of OLAP and multi-dimensional databases.
Extensive knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
General
Office Tools: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project
Communication: Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
Understanding business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions.
Participating in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, test and integration of products.
Working with stakeholders in gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system requirements.
Independently designing, generate specifications, developing and unit testing of process elements.
Research, evaluate and incorporate new technology and tools to enhance the product development process.
Interact with Quality Assurance team for preparing test scripts, and conducting tests and for data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and data modeling for data warehouses.
Ensures compliance to standards through code walkthroughs and metadata reports
