Job Title: BI Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 6+ Months (Immd. Start)   
 
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience with business intelligence tools and systems like SAS (highly preferred), MS-SSAS/SSRS, Cognos in a Data Warehousing environment;
Experience in modeling data stores (relational databases / OLAP / multi-dimensional databases) required to support the business intelligence and reporting needs
Experience with Decision Support System architecture and tools
Experience with Data Mining, Analytics and Reports/Dashboards in Education environment highly preferred
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
Experience in IT planning for BI environment
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project
Candidate must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Work with the business analysts and stakeholders to understand, document, and, prioritize data and information requirements.
Design processes to support reporting and business intelligence needs.
Develop standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business intelligence tools and systems.
Perform modeling of data sources and flows
Work with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement DSS, EIS, policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information
Work with the database team on physical design of the data stores required for supporting the BI/reporting needs and for optimal performance.
Optimize the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools that add value to the user.
Create testing methodology and criteria for the BI environment.
Design and coordinate curriculum for coaching and training customers in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance business decision-making capability.
Develop data/information quality metrics.
Research new technology and develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.
Lead a team of developers in building a BI solution and coordinate all phases of testing of designed solutions
