year, mosquitoes in

subtropical countries
cause millions of
cases of dengue fever,
a virus that induces
potentially lethal
flu-like symptoms.
Cases surged in 2019,
after rising for
decades, making dengue
one of the World
Health Organization’s
top-10 global health threats and the fastest-growing
mosquito-borne
disease.

The

key details, leading
some to doubt if the
project can secure
equipment, permits and
room on the grid any
time soon.
