Showers increase into midday and a steadier; heavier rain sets up over the I-70 and I-74 corridors this afternoon, with rain likely area-wide between 6 p.m. and at midnight. Rain amounts are expected in the .10" to 25" range before the rain gradually diminishes north-to-south overnight. Showers linger into predawn Saturday morning before departing by 8 a.m. tomorrow. Clouds may take a bit longer to leave, but we're still advertising increasing sun and pleasantly warmer highs in the 70's Saturday afternoon! If you’re going to the 500 Festival Kids' Day and Rookie Run, it may begin cloudy before we get into that brighter sky. The weather at the track for the Indy Grand Prix Saturday afternoon should be rather pleasant and definitely will be warmer as high as peak between 74° and 76°.
