Good Morning,
An increased lift in the atmosphere will help develop a
widening area of rain, arriving around 4 am. Don’t be surprised if you’re awakened by a
few rumbles of thunder, or even the sound of
small hail in any stronger pockets of storms that form before sunrise Tuesday. Plan on a
damp and chilly morning commute today. Wet roads and temperatures in the
upper 30's to lower 40's will greet early risers. A thick overcast sticks around much of the day, with occasional showers or drizzle keeping temperatures
mostly locked in the 40's. This marks the beginning of a
cloudier, grayer stretch for central Indiana heading into midweek. While Wednesday and Thursday won’t be washouts, any precipitation that does develop looks to be
light and widely scattered. You may dodge passing sprinkles or light showers, but the bigger story will be the persistent cloud cover.
