The astronomical spring of 2018 was the third warmest by mean temperature since 1772, and much warmer than the calendar spring of 2018 in central England, this because it avoided the cold start to March. 

I made the provisional mean temperature 11.89°C, which was 1.78°C above the LTA. It was very close to the values of last spring, but fell short of the exceptionally warm spring of 1893.
