A warm month by day, with average nights.  Frost slightly below average.  Another dry Spring month, with no measurable rainfall after the 17th.  Rather unsettled during the first half, with Storm Dave dealing a glancing blow on the 4th with gusts to 50 knots and some small hail in showers.  A brief warm spell around the end of the first week before the arrival of a cool spell brought a drop in maximum temperature of 11 degrees C.  Showers of rain, snow and hail on the 11th accompanied by gusts to 46 knots, with thunder and small hail the following day.  Remaining on the cool-feeling side for the best part of another week with some showers, thereafter gradually warming up and becoming dry.
