Moderate rain for a large part of the night, heavy at times since midnight (max rate 12 mm/hr at 0407Z), easing off to slight just before 0600Z, and now intermittent drizzle.  Extensive stratus currently, with very low patches forming on Wenlock Edge.  Moderate or poor visibility recently improved to good.  Surface wind SSE-SSW F3-4 becoming light and variable since 0515Z.  Minimum temperature so far is 11.6 (2040Z).
