Only one day was properly 'cold' in the last week (9th-15th inclusive) that was 10th when it only reached 5.7C. Maximum temperatures 8th-15th 9.0C, 5.7C, 8.8C, 9.7C, 8.8C, 10.3C, 11.5C respectively. No particularly cold nights either. 9th-15th 4.1C, 4.2C, 4.1C, 5.0C, 6.7C. 7.6C, 8.4C
respectively.
Not all good news though,, 13th & 14th were dull windy & decidely wet. 25.9mm rain in the 48 hours to 09:00 today 15th.
On the other hand the afternoons of the 9th, 12th & today 11th, have seen some decent spells of sunshine. Temperature climbing nicely today.
Prom this afternoon - onshore breeze as is obvious by the sea.
So rather different to much of England & Wales. Given the persistence of the easterly, I'm rather surprised it didn't get colder. Even on 9th & 12th, when the wind was near enough due east, out coldest winter direction, a bit of sunshine and the temperature approached double figures.
I think I'm going to have to leave Cornwall to see snow any time soon. Now in the old days . . .
