In this most maritime of locations, the diurnal (and annual) temperature range is small. At this time of year, when the sun is weak, the temperature struggles to get much above the SST (currently around 15C, >1C above normal).
Today it's now 18.4C, the latest date for a temperature >18C. Records start 1991.
I packed the wetsuits away for the winter after the sunshine of last weekend, I thought that's it. Big mistake.
