Penzance in the sun this afternoon, a walk along the prom, passed the Jubilee Pool to the harbour, and back through Morrab Gardens
A seawater lido, but this small section is geothermally heated. About 34C today. The main sea water pool nearer 15C by mid afternoon. (SST close in 12C)
From the Harbouride Cafe. About the first cloud of the day, bit of sea breeze convergence I suspect.
Bit later, around 15:30, first signs of some low cloud appearing with a bit od uplift over the hills.
It never ceased to amaze me that when I was in the holiday business, people were worried about visiting Penzance because there was no M&S. A big plus surely. The only place I've lived that comes close was my single days in a house share in London, a time I'll never forget!
It's really been a glorious day with prolonged sunshine & light winds, maximum temperature just shy of 15C, but it felt so much warmer.
