FEBRUARY
Very dry overall with high pressure always close. It was the driest February since 1998. The mean barometric pressure of 1029mb only beaten by February 2012 (1031mb).

A cold front moved south during the early hours of 22nd and was followed by a fresh NW wind, sunny spells & rain/hail showers. There was a big hailstorm around 00:30 on 23rd dropping around 10mm of rain in <1 hour - the event of the month. The ground was white. Similar events occurred across Cornwall. There was snow further up the County, heavy enough to give a covering despite temperatures remaining above freezing.
