Penzance - Bit of a charmed life today.

The forecast was a single rain drop & 50-90% chance of rain all day when I looked at breakfast time. In practice it's been dry all day, just a very few spots, not enough to dampen the ground. Rain seemed to move north to the west of Scilly, and lighter rain over Devon this morning. Here we had spells of hazy sunshine. This afternoon the rain west of Scilly died out, and some heavy rain streamed north just to the east. Makes a change to miss it all.

Also, it was supposed to be windy in the far west. Any windy conditions have been over Scilly, a F3 or so southerly here much of the day, now a NW setting in.

It's getting dark, so I don't care if the wind picks up now.

Lovely sunny day here to the west of the front. Chilly north wind but very little cloud.

Prom this afternoon.

Even the sea's calm in Mount's Bay. Long time since that was the case.
