December rainfall up until 09:00 today 241.1mm, following a 9mm deluge (10:30-11:00) it's now hit 250mm.

Set to be the 4th wettest month I've ever recorded (records start 1991) after
296.0mm November 2002
276.5mm December 1999
270.4mm November 2009

A large proportion of the rain has fallen as heavy rain /showers, rather than that relentless warm sector rain & drizzle Cornwall is so prone to in November & December. As a result it doesn't feel to have been as wet as it has been.

Also, the lowest average barometric pressure @ 09:00 (1004mb) since November 2014, and 28 rain days. If it rains tomorrow it will equal the December record.

I seem to remember saying what a quiet, pleasant benign month November was. Bit of a change in November.
