Something I need to do soon. Both my Dell desktop and Dell Ultrabook won't take Windows 11 and Windows 10 is no longer supported after the 14th October.

Must admit the desktop can be painfully slow and sometime chunters along doing something almost grinding to a hault.

It seems these days that a decent smartphone often works faster, doing the same task, than an average PC.

I'm old enough to remember the days of a PC-XT and MS-DOS. You could type in WS for Wordstar, or Dbase and they'd load instantaneously. We've created a world where PCs are vastly more powerful, but application development means many simple tasks take longer. The PC requirements to run Wndows 11 are ridiculous, and are creating an environmental mess as so much perfectly decent equipment is chucked.
