I am very impressed with WxCharts (which I have only just discovered).  The forecast SkewTs are extremely useful.

But who are MetDesk and its offshoot WxCharts?

A private forecasting company, established in 2012.  Primary focus appears to be transport forecasting.  Accounts seem to be healthy, but they were owed a fair sum of money (£3.5 million) as at 31/12/2020, but anticipated it being received during 2021.  WxCharts is just an NWP viewer, supplied for free usage - probably as an offshoot of other IT work they've had to do to support their business.

MetDesk was a breakaway from the UK part of MeteoGroup.      Their main area is probably forecasting for energy sector (i.e. for renewables) as well as transport.     They purchased the rights to WxCharts and WxObs to further their branding and profile I suppose.  The former is the best one-stop-shop for model information, surely.
