The 1910 gridded climate stats for May are now out which gives me a chance to look at the extended summer index [MJJAS], and as you might expect it was a perfect 16 for the UK and most regions in May.

But Bruce, are good Mays followed by poor summers as many people think?
August is the most important month to get warm and dry weather as it is in school holidays.
